Country Cabaret is an evolving country music variety show created by musicians Andrew Pauls and Danny Mulligan (Danny & The Do-Overs). In the 3rd iteration of the show, I was brought on to assist in developing a loose storyline, build and puppeteer a puppet, and assist in designing, building, and decorating a set for the show. This show featured a honky tonk bar in a rip in time and space, The Sittin Inn, and my puppet, Tumble, was the bartender welcoming travelers who would arrive, put a coin in the jukebox (which obsucred the live band playing), and play their songs. This required me to puppeteer and improv with performers for 2 hours on stage. I also helped design and build the jukebox that had swinging doors that Danny busts through at the end of the show. Behind the bar was a pipe-and-drape backdrop and curtain set I had designed for the previous iteration of this show. Andrew and I (as Tumble) performed a cover of Rainbow Connection by Jim Henson during the show.
